Family Relief Centers

Main Objectives

Encouragement of the poor through distribution of food accompanied with prayers and counseling.
Empowerment of the poor through the Business Support Schemes, and monthly allowance for the elderly.
Enlightenment of the poor through weekly teaching of the Bible.

Profile

There are currently four of such Centers operated by the Organisation. The main aims of these Centers is social rehabilitation of the helpless, poor and unemployed to suitable areas of resourcefulness where they could put their skills to good use.

We also provide petty trading capital to the widowed and the aged, subject to availability of funds under our B.S.Scheme (Business Support Schemed).

Since their inception, the Family Relief Centers have positively affected hundreds of poor recipients, some of which are now profitably engaged in various trades and employment.

The current socio-economic problem our nation is experiencing has tremendously increased the number of the helpless in our midst and this has been fully reflected in the increasing number of recipients visiting the Centers. Our major constraint has been finance and manpower. Efforts are being made to widen the level of popular support for the Family Relief Centers as many who could be involved are either not aware of the programme or in need of more information concerning areas of need. There are currently three of such Family Relief Centers in and around Lagos-Palmgrove, Egbe and Badagry.
