Four times in a month, the missionaries leave their headquarters to go on rural evangelism and distribution of food to the needy. This is the underlying focus of the compassion Day.
As the name implies, it is a day set aside for benevolence; reaching out with relief materials and consumables to the destitute and the less privileged in the society. More so, it is an act in disobedience to the Biblical injunction or ordinance as proclaimed in the book of Mathew 28 where the Holy book enjoins us as Christians to go into the world and preach the gospel to the world….
Compassion Day is also a re- enactment of the two-tier vision of the STRONG TOWER MISSION which is based on the principle of going with Bread in one hand and the gospel on the other hand. For we believe that when a man is hungry, he is sick. Categorically, he is irritable and therefore susceptible to all manner of vices. This is the primary areas of need that is tackled by the vision of the Compassion Day. The onus is to deal with the root problem (Hunger and its tendencies) then we can have a better environment to disseminate the good news. First thing first, feed the people to put them in the right frame of mind to receive. In other words, Compassion Day is a function of evangelism; a veritable tool for effective evangelism. Indeed the exercise has been most rewarding and target oriented.
Presently, we have four locations of distribution to our credit situated at the following areas: Palm grove, Abule Egba, Egbe and Badagry all in Lagos state .Surely, we are not resting on our oars as our target is to spread our network of operation to all nooks and crannies of the world as our resources will permit.
